- I taught writing, social studies, whole group and small group reading, and math during my time at Pioneer Elementary School.
- Participated in our 4th grade PLC to address the effectiveness of Title One services for our students.
- Worked with Pioneer's Positive Based Intervention Systems (PBIS) to create a positive school climate.
- Taught socio-emotional skills to my class in order to prevent bullying and create a more positive school environment.

- I taught a variety of subjects, including social studies, science, math, art, and ELA.
- Participated in a 5th grade PLC to address the effectiveness of academic and behavior interventions.
- Taught a group of students with varying abilities within the classroom, as well as working closely with the classroom paraprofessional.
- Facilitated a Kindergarten/5th grade buddy-reading program.
Spring 2021 - Special Education Practicum | Lincoln Elementary School (K-5th Grade) | Chantelle Slaubaugh

- During my time at Lincoln Elementary School, I was given the opportunity to work with students who were assessed with having an emotional disturbance, an intellectual disability, or both.
- Worked with students on increasing their socio-emotional and academic skills.
- Observed multiple IEP meetings.
- Taught a child who was afflicted with a visual impairment (lesson plan (as well as case study) associated with this student located in the artifact page)

- Hours: 90 Hours
- Assessed students' with reading comprehension and fluency
- Taught students their "trait of the month", which increased their socio-emotional skills.
- I taught six lessons while in this practicum. Of the lessons I taught, two were phonics, two were reading, and two were writing lessons (all six of these lessons located in Artifacts).
- Led small ELA groups throughout my time in practicum
Fall 2020 | Physical Education Practicum | Solheim Elementary School | 3rd-5th Grade | Mr. Michael Porter
- Hours: 45 Hours
- During my time at Solheim Elementary school, I taught two integrated PE lessons - one integrated with science, and the other integrated with social studies (the science lesson is located in the artifacts file)
- I played some of the games with the students, as well as participating in some of their activities
- I also led some of their fitness related activities, such as when they had to do fitness tests
Fall 2020 - Mini Marauders Learning Center:
- During the fall of 2020, students of Bismarck Public Schools were utilizing a hybrid system on an AB schedule days, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- 31 hours
- We had kids from K-7, and I had taught kids in each grade.
- Taught kids the material that they were learning digitally on days that they were not in school
- Led some brain breaks for the students in order to give them time away from their work
Summer 2020 - Diversity Practicum:
- I had Volunteered at Heaven Helper's Soup Café. Here I helped pass out food to people who needed food within the Bismarck community; single parents, the homeless community, as well as people who are low SES.
- I worked at Pride during this time (I have worked at Pride from 2019-Present). While working here, I have been able to work with children who have a wide range of disabilities - primarily with children who are on the Autism spectrum, children who have Down Syndrome, and other disabilities as well.
- I also did an interview with my friend, Alexis Cooper. I talked with her in order to get a deeper understanding of African American culture, the Black Lives Matter Movement, and police brutality (link to video in artifacts file).
